Dessert Table Trend

One wedding trend I really hope is here to stay is the Dessert Table!

The main reason, because I’m a huge dessert fan, especially when it comes to the concept of multiple desserts. This comes from the girl who has breakfast pudding and is well known throughout her family for bringing back an array of desserts from an all you can eat buffet on holiday! So yeah, die hard dessert fan right here for sure!

Another reason I love a dessert table is that they look amazing! They’re a real statement piece for your wedding breakfast and a wow factor amongst guests. This one here from The Barn Bakery was incredible. The detail, the presentation, and the taste were just insanely yummy! The Barn Bakery specialises in feasting and grazing tables and you can totally see why. The time and skill that goes into them is amazing. Get in touch with them for details.

It also makes the decision of choosing a dessert a lot easier as you can have so many yummy things to suit everyone’s tastes. It also gets guests out of their seats after a big main course and goes well with a lovely cuppa as a postmeal treat. Guests don’t always want a huge pudding so a small selection for them to graze over is perfect and means you won’t have people feeling sluggish later, they’ll be up dancing instead of crashing on lots of sugar!

So happy dessert day! Treat yourself!

Oh So Tropical

Oh So Tropical

Happy Monday!

I know spring feels like it’s here but I’m so longing for the heat of a tropical beach. Just to lay on the sand and feel the sun on my face is all I ask right now. I decided to channel these beach vibes into a summery, vibrant wedding colour scheme instead. It’s much more vibrant than my usual style I’ll admit, but I love the contrasting colours, the energy and most of all, the unique shapes from the foliage and details.

The large bridal bouquet is an instant wow factor for high impact. The feature flowers are almost sculptured rather than organic.

I love the ombré detail on the cake which mirrors a Hawaiian sunset setting over Waikiki beach. The soft orange complements the strong green and fun pink to add a romantic pastel tone to the scheme.

How could we forget the cocktails and canapés? The details just make these elements sing and are adorable.

Fun, quirky touches are incorporated through the ukulele guest book and the welcoming floral Leis which reflect the location perfectly.

Even if you aren’t jetting off to Hawaii for your beach wedding, why not incorporate some of these elements into your English wedding for a complete twist. You dream of your wedding day, have it your way no matter where you are in the world.

Oh I’m feeling more summery already. Have a look at my Inspiration Board page for more wedding design schemes and image credits or get in touch if you would like one making just for you.

Have an amazing week everyone! Emily
