Hello. I’m Emily.
I’m a Yorkshire girl at heart, down to earth but passionate about everything I do. After studying and working as an Interior Designer for 10 years, I decided to move my creativity into the wonderful world of weddings, and to say I absolutely love it would be an understatement. I believe that when you’re in love with what you do the results truly shine through. Design for me has always been about pushing the boundaries, focusing on the detail and creating something truly unique. For me, that’s a key part in creating your wedding day.
As most of us do, I loved planning my own wedding. I planned and designed everything to the finest detail and loved every second. The day itself was amazing and all that we could have hoped for. Planning my own special day made me realise how much passion I had for weddings and so I decided I wanted share that passion with other brides and grooms. I enrolled on the UK Wedding Academy diploma course to gain a qualification and learn as much as I could about this fabulous wedding industry.
My aim for Emily K Weddings is to help brides and grooms create a wedding day that is unique to you and reflects your relationship. At the end of the day, that is what your wedding day is all about! Wedding planning can be an adventure in itself. It is an amazing thing to do, but I know from experience it can be time consuming, confusing and overwhelming. I’d love for you to enjoy it as much as I did, so let me take away the stress, giving you chance to focus on the enjoyment of your engagement. I am a firm believer that there should be no standard package wedding. Let’s push the boundaries and create your own style for your unique wedding day.
I also have the absolute pleasure in being a Brand Ambassador for the very talented, award winning Pamella Dunn, one of Yorkshire’s top wedding planners. This is an amazing opportunity which has led to being part of some amazing events and gaining a wealth of knowledge.
